Online therapy is also available for clients looking for the flexibility that this offers.

How can I arrange an appointment?

Telephone Dr Proctor on 07954 963 736, leaving a brief message and a telephone number. You can e-mail or write if you prefer, but we normally talk to new clients so that we can discuss whether we are the right professionals for you.

You can also contact our Practice Manager Jason Spurdle on 07954 118 487. We usually suggest an initial assessment session before agreeing on an individualised treatment plan.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

If you have to cancel an appointment, please contact Dr Proctor on 07954 963 736 or our Practice Manager Jason Spurdle on 07954 118 487 and leave a message. If we have had 24 hours notice or if the problem is unavoidable we do not charge for missed appointments, otherwise, we do.

What will an initial appointment involve?

The first appointment is designed to develop a thorough assessment of your difficulties and to decide whether psychological therapy is appropriate for you. If psychological therapy is an appropriate treatment, the first session is an opportunity to identify your therapy goals and to decide which type of therapy would be useful.

What is the fee?

How many sessions will I have?

Typically, between 8 and 12 sessions are agreed but this can be significantly longer or shorter depending on the needs of the individual client. Sessions are usually arranged on a weekly basis. Sometimes, a follow-up session is arranged after therapy has ended to help maintain the progress achieved.

Are you registered with my insurer?

We are registered with a wide range of insurers including BUPA,  AVIVA, Simply Health, Prudential, Cigna, WPA. If we are not currently registered with your company, we will happily do so.
